Thank you for your interest in bringing your school group to Meteor Crater!
The Interactive Discovery Center is one of the first of its kind, housing interactive displays containing information about meteorites, asteroids, impact cratering mechanics, and the formation of Meteor Crater. There is a Big Screen Theater showing our movie “IMPACT, The Mystery of Meteor Crater” and an Astronaut Wall of Fame displaying the American men and women who have gone into space. There are three different lookout points to view the crater. Teachers should try to allow a total of 2 hours to go through the museum, view the Crater from outside lookouts, and take a short hike on the rim with one of our guides (must be prearranged).
Meteor Crater is open 7 days a week 364 days a year, closed Christmas Day. Our hours of operation are: Memorial Day to Labor Day 7:00am to 7:00pm and Labor Day to Memorial Day 8:00am to 5:00pm.
We offer group rates to school groups of at least 15 as follows:
Adults: $11.00 per person
Students: $6.00 per person (ages 6 to 17 yrs.)
We do allow complimentary admission for 2 adults with each group of at least 15.
