I've seen documentaries about this since I was a kid, I never thought I would get to go. I can't get enough of earthly events like these. I sit and ponder all the different possibilities and just let my mind go. We stopped at a couple of places on the way to Phoenix and I am upset that society has had to fence off the natural world from civilization. I understand all the reasons, but it really impacts how you view things that you pay a lot of money to see. Speaking of that, I think $140 is a lot for my family to see a tiny museum and walk for 5 minutes outside. Yes, we were outside longer on the guided tour, but it's a tiny little asphalt path barely outside the building. They are doing full rim tours now, those are for people like me for sure. I did love the extra knowledge of the guide, and he was funny, but dang, your guide should not have a tongue piercing, let alone two! He said a lot of words that went right over my head. Long story short, I can't believe the crater used to be 3 times deeper, and if you like this sort of thing, you must stop here. It's right off the highway after all. Read Less
