We really enjoyed our visit to the meteor crater in Arizona. The road in was in good shape, there was ample spacious parking and the buildings were futuristic looking and well maintained. There was a lot of well-designed educational museum type boards and displays prior to actually seeing the crater itself. There are several different viewpoints in which to see the crater all of which are well-designed and well placed. We were truly in awe of what happened here at 50,000 years ago. I highly recommend eating at the blaster bistro, the food establishment near the gift shop. The employees were friendly and the food was fantastic! I had the turkey, ham and roast beef sandwich on a french roll and my wife had the chicken sandwich both of which were fresh and high quality. I am always suspect about eating in places like this because usually they are high-priced and low-quality but not the blaster bistro. We didn't buy anything in the gift shop but enjoyed looking around at the various things for sale, it was like being in a mini museum itself. Once again all the employees from the time we got there till the time we left were extremely friendly and professional. We encourage everyone to visit to this incredible landmark. Read Less

It's been upgraded so this is a plus. I've been here three times and on this visit it has been up graded A LOT. Pricing is still high from when i was younger; $22 per adult so check online for prepaid or group before you go. Now you at least get something for your money. A mini movie which was pretty cool. A very interesting learning walk through. The viewing of the creator is a lot better too. Years ago you couldn't go as low as you can now. Huge huge problem for me was the air conditioning in the theater and the museum. It was set at 78 degrees when the weather outside was 112*. It made me want to leave and NEVER come back. Who does that? The only thing that is saving this place is the gift shop because the a/c was on in there and everyone was gathered in there to cool off. Makes no sense to sweat everyone out of the restaurant portion if your trying to make money off expensive food. It's like inviting someone to your home, you just don't leave the a/c at 78 in Arizona. If your hurtung for money running people off isn't going to help you. Read Less

Very interesting tourist attraction. There were all sort of scientific data to see, a theatre and a 4D theatre as well. The viewing sites were awesome. The wind way above the crater was very strong. There wasn’t much else to see in the surrounding areas, but I managed to cross off the Meteor Crater from my bucket list. Read Less

Really cool place. I was surprised to see an actual museum and attraction type building given all the photos, I expected just to drive up to a big hole in the ground and look around.
I do wish they would have warned us that the tours around the crater were an hour long when we purchased our tickets. When we met the group at the museum you’re given no time to go back to your car to get sunscreen or water before the group leaves.
After spending a week driving around northern Arizona, this stop was a bit pricier than anything else we did ($23 per adult) but it’s obviously very professionally run and maintained. Read Less
