I would like to state that the experience is worthwhile, from my point of view.
I would like to list a few anomalies in the presentations, discussions and reception.
Woman selling tickets, you do not need to be upset when I can’t hear you as you’re not talking into the microphone. I asked 3 times if she could talk into the microphone as its through bullet proof glass otherwise.
Video presentation shows the meteorite coming in at about 30-40 degrees, as was the picture in the static presentation (although more like 45 degrees). The guide says it was 80degrees, which is quite a difference.
Meteor crater??? ‘Meteorite Crater’ as it absolutely, definitely, without a shadow of a doubt hit earth?
Depth of impact crater, stated by presentation, 1400’ on impact, 1100’ after settlement and 550’ now. Overheard the guide stating 200’ now? Not a mile across 0.75 of a mile, if I’m allowed to mix measurement types.
Was the impact from the South or the East? Some discussion between published data and the guide are needed.
Overall a great experience frustrated by contrasting presented information. Read Less
